Review 1 of 45

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:

I have used this slide film to shoot outdoor. When i got back the slides i thought wauw good colors, sharp and bright images. But when got some of them printed in a larger size (20 X 30cm) the results were really poor. Very low saturated color, the sharpness was dissapointing and massive grain in pictures of skies and in skin tones. In some pictures the colors were ok but overall not satisfying.

Strengths:

Price If you want them to use for slide shows they are very good.

Weaknesses:

Push ability Not recomended for larger prints

provia 100

Customer Service:

not used

Review 3 of 45

Price Paid:  $10.00 from Photo & Video Intern

Summary:

A good film for general purpose photography. Minimal grain, nice vibrant colours and low contrast. I've shot a fair few rolls of this stuff and can't really fault it for the price (if i buy it in bulk, it's $14 less than velvia!!!). If you want a neutral film or just trying slides for the first time, you won't be dissapointed, if you want the x-factor go velvia.

Strengths:

Minimal Grain Neutral balance Price!!!!!!!! Good exposure latitude.

Weaknesses:

Fuji have recently released velvia 100 apart from that none.

Similar Products Used:

All fuji slides but none from those dreaded yellow box's.

Customer Service:

Review 4 of 45

Price Paid:  $9.00 from Chapple St Camera Ho

Summary:

I like this film a lot. My introduction to silde film was with Sensia 100, and when I got the results back I wondered why I didn't switch to trannies years before. Used it on the Great Ocean Road in Austalia recently and it really captured the intense sunsets & coastal areas acurately. Some images almost had a 3D aspect when viewed with light box. Used Kodak E100SW in Byron Bay & Mt Warning Nat Park but didn't compare in my opinion

Strengths:

Great colour rendition & saturation Cheaper than pro emulsions but camparible Good exposurelatitude as far as slide film goes

Weaknesses:

Cannot see any

Review 5 of 45

Price Paid:  $4.00 from Fuji Serbia

Summary:

This is a great all-around film and it is very cheap (compared to the others). However, I do not recommend it when the blue colour is dominant/important. Blue usually comes washed and displeasing, because this slide likes yellow a lot. Also with the rolls I have shot, I rate it ISO 120, because it tends to overexpose a bit on I100 - not so with other slides.

Strengths:

Good all-around slide. Cheap. Ok grain and OK colour. Great for green/yellow colours (nature, wild, etc.)

Weaknesses:

-Colours can come out washed (when compared to the other slides). -Definitely the worst choice of Fuji when doing photographs of the sea / or where blue is dominant.

Similar Products Used:

Fuji Velvia, Astia
