    Strength:

Affordable. Solid construction. Lots of adjustability. Comes in flavors.

    Weakness:

Accommodates only one style for holding the camera in the vertical shooting position -- shutter release button on bottom. This wouldn't be a weakness if you already shoot that way.

I had the model 835. It looks similar to the photo above, but was designed for use with a 35mm camera and it had an eight inch vertical post. Mine was red. This is a very high quality product featuring solid construction and comfortable foam grip. There is plenty of room for camera and flash adjustment to get that flash centered just right in both the horizontal and vertical shooting positions. I did, however, sell my bracket because the vertical shooting position, using this particular style of bracket, places the shutter release button on the bottom. That shooting style puts my wrist in an awkward position and I just couldn't adjust. I was forced to seek a bracket where the shutter release button is on top when shooting vertical.

    Strength:

    Nice grip. Easy alignment.

    Weakness:

Time consuming to mount and dismount. Will have to investigate if there is a quick release.

I used to use a hotshoe flash for some of my wedding shots and always got that flash shadow. This past saturday morning I bought the Stratos 1200 (Looks just like the one pictured) and I didnt' get a single shadow. It was PERFECT!!! Best $125 I have ever spent on photo equipment. The couple whose wedding I shot later that day were very happy. :)
