Strength:

Easy to opperate, good on batteries, light, and so far holding up.

Weakness:

lack of locking spots for bounce, only at 60 and 90 degrees. can balance it between, but not easily.

I've had this flash for a month or two now, use it both on camera and with triggers. decent width coverage, lacks power if intended on day use. Great for night shooting, even being the only flash.

Customer Service

i wouldn't want any, i picked up this flash used and cheap, so far it has been good to me but if it wasn't i would simply give it away or re-sell it.

Strength:

Lightweight, bounce & zoom capabilities, multiple auto flash metering including TTL, good value for price

Weakness:

Insufficient lighting output in various modes. Poor/dark exposure when used with a 28mm lens without wide angle adapter [this flash is designed for focal lengths 35mm - 70mm]. Only 1 bounce position [60 deg]; wish it also had 30 and 45 deg positions. Flash does not feel sufficiently "solid." Conflicting info in owner's manual for correct TTL switch position for Minolta X series cameras.

Overall, a good value for the price paid. Bounce and zoom positions are very nice features. Most photo results were of good to acceptable exposure. Produced under-exposed results in a number of situations - seems unable to produce sufficient power output. This flash should please most beginners and some intermediates, but will leave others, including experts, wanting more.

Customer Service

E-mail their customer service dept numerous times seeking purchase info for a 28mm wide angle adapter for this flash. Never received a single response. Extremely poor service. Keep this in mind before you purchase a Sunpak flash.

Strength:

Very efficient, Good recycle time, and reange

Weakness:

covers wide angle to 35MM Would be nice if it were effective to 28mm

Very good flash for the money. If you do not need a flash at 28mm of any distance and have a TTL camera mounted flash. Then this is the flash for you.

Customer Service

Have not used customer service, but I do have a 266d that I need repaired after several thousand flashes.

very easy to use and setup. this is my first flash, but Sunpak made it relatively easy on the beginner. Also, I got mine used on ebay for $35, can't beat the price.

Weakness:

wish it swiveled.

Great flash for the beginner -- very easy to use.
