from B&H Summary: Great tool for a beginner or as a spare meter. At first i was sure the thing wouldn´t last long beacuse it seems so fragile. Today, after nearly 2 years of hard work still does the job very well.
Maybe the only mayor problem would be the lack of 1/3thrd`s precission, but if your lenses only have 1/2 stop precision it wont be a big deal though.
Great value for a brand new ambient-flash meter. Strengths: -Precise enough for such a good price.
-Easy to read.
-Have droped it many times and still works ok.
-Auto turn off when not in use, so the 9 volt battery lasts a lot. Weaknesses: -It is a mayor disadvantage to have only half stop precision, specially when working with slides, but i guess it´s the price you´ll have to pay for so little money.
-The ambient light meter works only for 4 shutter speeds, so you´ll have to extrapolate if you are using different speeds.
-About 1/3 stop of error between incident and reflected light metering.(tested with 18% gray chart and another flash meter) Similar Products Used: Hope to get the minolta IVf Customer Service: Never needed
