Summary:
This extender has allowed me to come up with some really incredible stuff. When I first started in macro photography, I was only using a sigma macro lens, and was still not getting close enough. When I bought this, my world was turned upside down. I thought that the sigma marco along with the EF25 would be great and it was! But then I made the decision to get rid of all my third party lenses and buy canon lenses... well, I could not believe the improvement I got just by going to canon lenses. Much more reliable than macro filters. Works even better with macro lenses, like the 100 Macro and the 180L Macro. Have yet to use it with either of these lenses, but from the stats in the Canon lens catalog it should be even better! If close up work is what you want to do, you NEED this! {NOTE: You will need to use a tripod to get superior results}

Strengths:
Does not take away from image quality. Fairly light weight. Fits right in line with your lens and gets you instantly up close and personal with your subject.

Weaknesses:
Autofocus at times can be useless. Although in macro, you rarely want to depend on autofocus. The EF25 adds some length to the lens, so be careful with front-end heaviness with bigger glass. With this attachment on, you will not be able to focus on anything further than a couple of feet away; if that. So if you have to go back and forth between close-up and normal usage, it gets to be a hassle.

Similar Products Used:
none, but lookinf forward to working with the MPE-65

Customer Service:
None needed so far.
