In general good building quality. Good and fast enogh focusing. No clear degradation at f 4. Could be used with a 1.4 x extender with reasonable quality.

Heavy, but this is normal for such a kind of lens. Not very high sharpness and contrast in particular if light condition are not good.

It is a big and quite heavy lens for my hands. I used it for several years on my Canon F1, mainly shooting B/W pictures.

The quality was reasonable, not excellent. You could get a lot of internal flares if you shot in bad light conditions.

For sports, in particular football, I found it quite good. The light was just enough in most cases. I could not afford a better and more rapid lens and so I had to adapt.
