Strength:

Sharpness and Contrast: excellent!

Weakness:

None at all. All right, a bit heavy.

The best lens for wildlife photography- especially birds. Extremely sharp. I love this lens so much that I even got a 2nd one!(used)

Customer Service

Strength:

Extremely sharp, fast focus, handles well

Weakness:

None

Probably as good as any supertelephoto ever produced until Canon announced the new IS lens. Still there are features on this lens that the new one doesn't have and will be missed.

Customer Service

Excellent at CPS.

Model Reviewed: EF 600mm f/4L II USM

Strength:

This lens is a SUPERB supertelephoto. The user selected three-range MF feature is VERY useful (too bad they dropped it in the new IS lens). All the L-series lenses are extremely well built...and this one's no exception. When used with the matched Canon 1.4x and 2x converters is creates a flexible, fast and SHARP combination for wildlife, sports and other applications needing "big glass." NOTE: The new IS version of this lens mean a lot of the older lenses are offered on the used market at reasonable prices (about $6k).

Weakness:

This lens wiights about 14 lbs.! But all the big lenses are heavy, just be aware of that before purchasing!

A fantastic lens for sports, wildlife, etc.

Customer Service

Canon has great customer service!
