At first glance, photographs taken with this lens do not look like superwide-angle pictures. However they are very impressive because of their unusual perspective. In the close-up range, this lens makes
unusual images possible because it sets the main subject off in an interesting manner in relation to its surroundings.
Strengths: Contrast and colour rendition.
Flare resistance in the light.
Compact. Good Bokeh
Weaknesses: Have not found any yet.
Bottom Line:
This is a much maligned lens among Leica users. Evidentally a Minolta design from the 1970's. All I can say is that Minolta 70's design combined with Leica quality control really rocks! I purchased this as "as new" secondhand at a much lower price than a new lens. I cannot understand why the previous owner parted with it other than needing the money.
