Strength:

great image quality, nice mechanical precision, small size, very low weight

Weakness:

only one: the optional Leica metallic sunshade (expensive!) rotates very easily in its thread...

A very well performing lens, even at aperture fully open. I use it on M9 (digital) and also older M5 and M6 analog cameras and have been always extremely pleased with the results. Superior sharpness, no visible distortions, very flare-resistant in opposite light.

The max. aperture of f=2,5 I've found not so much disadvantage over a much more costly Summicron f=2.0 lens. Compared to other Leica lenses, this seems a good value for me.
