Leica 100mm Macro-Elmar f/4

This is a wonderful low cost alternative to the 2.8 100mm macro. I use this lense extensively for close-up work, tight landscapes, head shots of people and general outdoors work. Shoot mostly BW film, enlarge prints to 11x14 and am constantly amazed at the results. This is a superb lense...immessurably better than the Pentax 85mm and 135mm I used to use.

Light weight, accurate focus, incredible sharpness at all F stops, relatively low cost.

A little harder to focus in low light than the 2.8.

Pentax 85mm and 135mm.
