Build quality, compactness, image quality.

It is a bit expensive, but you get what you pay for.

I have been using this lens for around nine years, and am still amazed at the quality of some of the images. Pictures are razor sharp. I use it in conjuction with Olympus' 65-116 auto extension tube. Sharpest 1:1 around. I use it with bellows, helicoid and extension tubes. Slide copies are very sharp and contrasty.

When my first slides came out I knew that the money was well spend. Its much better than Tamron Sp2.8 at 1:1 and at f11. Pretty sharp even at f32!!

Its really sharp, very high quality, the best around 1:1. The newest version has auto aperture. I haven't used the older version.

Magnification rates are a bit limited (auto tube 65-116) and the close-up lens is a bit of a hassle with a macro flash (T28)

Extremely good for what it is ment to do but not as versatile as a normal (e.g. non-bellows) macro
