Strengths: 1. Excellent contrast and color rendation.
2. verp sharp and very good bokeh.
3. No distortion, flare, vignetting.
6. Very light.
Weaknesses: 1. Slightly flare in wide open(F2).Bottom Line: This lens is remakably good Pentax lens.
The images from this lens are very vividly,
lively as if I am seeing real object. Unlikely most Japanese lenses, its contrat and color redation is superior to others. It indeed reproduce original color and image well. I never
disappointed with this one. Actually to buy this lens, I sold out all my best old Pentax zoom lenses.

Strengths: Very sharp, good contrast. Relatively well damped manual focussing ring.Weaknesses: Like other Pentax autofocus lenses, it focusses past infinity in manual mode.
The front element is not recessed at all and can be easily damaged if used without its hood. The supplied hood is poorly made and has internal reflrections.Bottom Line: An excellent lens optically, and reasonably solid mechanically. The most useful focal length for general picture taking, and a very bright image because of its wide aperture.
