Tokina AT-X M100 100mm f/2.8 Pro D 35mm Primes

Tokina AT-X M100 100mm f/2.8 Pro D 35mm Primes

DESCRIPTION

The AT-X M100 PRO D is a new macro lens capable of life-sized (1:1) reproduction at 11.8 in. (30 cm). The lens' multi-coating have been re-engineered to match the highly reflective silicon based CCD and CMOS sensors in today's digital SLR cameras, while the optics still give full coverage and excellent sharpness on 35mm film.

Strength:

Very sharp
Build quality
Lens hood incl.

Weakness:

Noisy, slow AF

I'm very sorry.
In my first review, I wrote "Great stabiliser and quick AF ".
It's right for my current EF-100L IS USM, not for Tokina.

Nevertheless - Tokina ist a very good lens
Realy sharp with great build quality.
Unfortunately, very slow AF, which is quite annoying to not macro photography (where I use manual focus)
Excellent optics, worth every cent that you paid for. Optical quality comparable to my current EF 100L
