from Used from PopFlash.c Summary: This is great little lens. I needed a super wide lens and I debated over this lens or the 15mm Color Heliar. I ended up going with 21mm and I have been very happy.
Since buying and using often, I haven't ever once thought, "I wish I had a wider lens". I could easily stand in front of a monument and get the whole thing in the frame. I never found myself needing to go across the street to get further back like I did when I only had a lens with a 35mm focal length.
Also, it's also not so wide that you still can't use it for street photography. Strengths: Size . The lens is so small, it can easily be carried in a pocket.
Quality for the Cost. For $300, it's hard to beat. It's going to perform well for the vast majority of people and their uses. Weaknesses: Speed. F/4 is the largest aperature. Obviously a faster lens would be larger, so there is a tradeoff.
There is some slight distortion along the edges. This is only noticeable in people. They look wider than reality (so don't have your wife pose on the edge of the frame) Similar Products Used: Other Leica & Voigtlander products
