Review 1 of 4

Price Paid:  $1499.00

Summary:

This lens is very sharp!!! I didn't relize how sharp this lens was until I got the first picture. Wow! I really enjoyed using this lens. The super wide angel gives you a very different perspective. It is an expensive lens though.

Strengths:

Sharp, solid build, little distortion

Weaknesses:

very EXPENSIVE, only f/3.5, dark corner sometimes.

Customer Service:

none

Review 2 of 4

Summary:

There are a lot of wide zoom lenses in the market however, almost all products but this shows any distortion more or less with which one hesitates to replace his prime lenses with "a" zoom lens. Here is an answer ! If you are indoor and architecture photographer, I'm sure that this will be an indispensable companion to you (as is really expensive). I'll be happy in case it comes more slender (down to 72mm filter).

Strengths:

a fantastic wide zoom lens free from any distortion !

Weaknesses:

a heavy, voluminous and expensive lens for those who don't care a distortion

Similar Products Used:

*Tokina AT-X AF 17mm/f3.5 (a great lens for the price)
*Cosina MC (Vivitar Series 1) 19-35mm/f3.5-4.5 (a good lens for the price)

Customer Service:

none

Summary:

Great lens which will give me many years of pleasure.

Strengths:

Range 17-35mm, equal quality over the whole range. Metal housing, nice weight, focus hold button. Tack sharp.

Weaknesses:

Plastic lens hood which can turn when mounted then causing shielding in the corners.
Slight lightfall in corners (17mm)
