Price Paid:  $150.00 from Hong Kong

Summary:

Not a bad lens for beginners, quality is OK (better than the 28-200 lens) and is resonably priced. I use it once or twice a year and take it on trips just because it is light and small.

Strengths:

Light, easy to handle

Weaknesses:

not very well built, too plastic.
slow focusing
rotating front-element

Review 5 of 8

Model Reviewed:
AF 70-210mm f/4.5-5.6

Summary:

I use it as a "spare" lens when I need a long focal. It provide good pictures between 70 and 135mm if you can use a small aperture (8-11) and is very easy to carry because of its size and weight. It must be used in very good conditions. Don't try to use it at the full aperture or over the 135mm, unless you just want keep a trace of an event and don't care about the poor quality of the final picture.

Strengths:

Size, weight and price.

Weaknesses:

Unusable at the full aperture and at the very long focal length.

Similar Products Used:

Minolta and sigma lenses.

Customer Service:
