from ritzcamera.com Summary: This Quantaray lens is manufactured by Sigma for Ritz Camera. The Sigma version of the same lens was $50 more expensive than the Ritz version. I was so impressed by the quality of this Sigma lens, I bought one of their 24-70mm to complete my beginner collection of lenses (wasn't available with the Quantaray name on it).
$250 would still be an exceptional value for this lens! The glass is clear, the autofocus works well enough, the macro setting produces clear and sharp images, and the zoom barrel is nicely dampened. This lens just produces great pictures!
If you're a beginner photographer on a budget, this is a great acquisition to get you into sports and nature photography. Strengths: Excellent value!
