Di (Digitally integrated)-II lenses are designed for exclusive use on digital cameras with smaller-size imagers. This lens is not designed for use with 35mm film cameras or digital SLR cameras with image sensors larger than 24mm x 16mm.

optics..made in japan...

This is a little bit of a pearl and i am very impressed how good this is for thr money invested; harp good colors and fine macro!
of course its not ED or L glass but their own SD(LD) glass and this is visuable.
Im astonished how quick this lens is ,even though it does not have a USM/AFS motor,i have used it for sports...no problem.
i now use it as traveloptic for pro assigments.
further more it is made in japan!!
