Hoya Black and White Colored Filters

MSRP: $

Description: Black & White films register colors as shades of grey and the rendition of each color in a scene is important, so filters can be used to control this.

Summary:
Odd bit: the Hoya red seems more orange than the Nikon red or Tiffen red. The yellow has a slightly increased density too. This is neither a plus or a minus, it simply *is*. I generally like Hoya filters, have used them for years. They do the job.

Strengths:
Good filters at a good price. Most are coated to reduce reflections.

Slimmer rings than most Tiffens, especially in smaller diameters.

Weaknesses:
The HMC coating is very fragile. Handle with care! Don't ever try to clean it with fluid.

Similar Products Used:
Tiffen, Nikon, B+W, some Heliopan

Customer Service:
Not needed
