Summary:
Started with a 2 soft and a 3 hard and now have a complete set. Used with care (Stop your lens down to see the exact graduation) the are almost completely unnoticed which is what they're all about.

Strengths:
Truly Neutral, no "greyish" tinge added.

Weaknesses:
Expensive and delicate

Summary:
This is an expensive filter. If you can only afford one, get the 3X hard. The 3X hard is the most versatile and useful. I love the ability to take a photo directly into the sun without much worry about these filters flaring. They're very high quality, and Singh-Ray loves to talk to you about your questions to help you make a decision. I use them whenever I can and I'm ALWAYS pleased with the results. They come in a seriously good casing for a filter. You don't want to scratch these filters and the case emphasizes that.
