Summary:
I couldn't work without this lens. Yes it needs a Centre-Grad for 4x5 or extreme movements on roll film but so does every wide-angle for the discerning photographer. I disagree with the previous comment on distortion — I have straight lines at the edge of frame always.

Strengths:
Covers 4x5 with limited movement, is my 'standard lens' on 6x9 and 6x12 for architecture interiors

Weaknesses:
None - there is nothing else with the cob=verage and angle of view

Summary:
Excellent lens if you love it WIDE and in 4X5!

Strengths:
width of this lens is immense! Often when the sun is behind me and low I need to wave while I'm looking through the view finder to make sure that my shadow is not included in the image!

Weaknesses:
Definetely need a centre filter (3c) or else the hot spot is very obvious. The distortion in the edges are very obvious especially when the image includes lines near the edge. In most occasions its fine.
