Review 1 of 5

Price Paid:  $700.00 from Casey's Cameras (used)

Summary:
Bronica lens are second to none, with the exception of price, so if you insist on spending more money, then I'm sure somebody will be more than happy to sell you brand X, and you WILL NOT get any better results.

Strengths:
Excellent focal length for portraits. Very smooth and precise. Very sharp & contrasty lens. Well built.

Weaknesses:
What?????

Similar Products Used:
Aside from most makes and models in 35mm, none.

Customer Service:
Haven't had the pleasure.

Review 2 of 5

Summary:
WELL CONSTRUCTED LENSE WITH SHARP OPTICS. IT'S
DEPENDABLE & RELIABLE BUT I WAS DISAPPOINTED TO
FIND DUST INSIDE THE ELEMENTS. FOR A $1500 OR MORE LENSE THIS ISN'T ACCEPTABLE BUT AMPLIS FOTO
HAS ASSURED ME THIS WON'T AFFECT THE IMAGES & IT
HASN'T. THERE HAS TO BE MORE STRINGENT QUALITY
CONTROL BEFORE THESE ARE SHIPPED FROM THE FACTORY. NEEDLESS TO SAY IT'S A FINE LENSE BEING
EVEN SHARPER THAN HASSELBAD'S ZEISS LENSES!!!!!!!!

Strengths:
WELL MADE LENSE WITH THE
BARREL MADE OF METAL &
FOCUSING SMOOTH & DAMPENED. OPTICS ARE
SHARP & COLOURS VIBRANT
& CONTRASTY.

Weaknesses:
N/A

Similar Products Used:
N/A

Customer Service:
BROUGHT LENSE IN TO AMPLIS FOTO BECAUSE SOME DUST WHICH THEY HAD
OPENED & BLEW SOME OUT.
SOME OF THE DUST WAS DEEP BETWEEN THE ELEMENTS.

Review 3 of 5

Price Paid:  $1950.00 from Walters Video

Summary:
This is a fine performer with image quality equal to the zeiss 150mm but the Mamaya 150mm trails a little behind the Zenzanon. The 150mm fitted to the body with an AE prism and speedgrip is very heavy even using the neck strap, holding it by the speed grip gets tiresome after a while.

Strengths:
Colour ballance is excellent and very sharp from centre to corners. Image contrast is high due to the lens very good coatings.

Weaknesses:
This lens is heavy. The ability to focus closer would be usefull

Similar Products Used:
150mm Zeiss & Mamaya lenses.

Customer Service:
None needed to date.

Review 5 of 5

Model Reviewed:
PS 150mm f/4.0

Summary:
If you want a reliable lens and/or complete system, I recommend the Bronica.

Strengths:
Reasonably priced in comparison to Zeiss lens. Just as sharp as Zeiss and very reliable.

Weaknesses:
None and I used it since 1996. Shot 30 weddings a year and used this lens for about 20% of the shoot.

Similar Products Used:
Zeiss Lens

Customer Service:
The Canadian agent was good in servicing the other Bronica accessories I had.
