from amazon.com Summary: An excellent addition to my HP 912 digital camera. It has 49 mm?xD;?xA;thread mount, which matches the 912. It is easy and straight forward?xD;?xA;to add or remove the lens. The extra "zoom" helps in numerous?xD;?xA;situations to bring details into the picture. The camera takes care of?xD;?xA;all adjustments needed, and I end up with great pictures. The 3x ?xD;?xA;optical plus 2x digital zoom, when doubled with this converter results?xD;?xA;in pictures that I otherwise would miss out on. Strengths: Easy to mount, a "no brainer" ... nothing else to do.?xD;?xA;Very good image quality for a teleconverter.?xD;?xA;Allows one to capture otherwise lost shots. Weaknesses: barrel distortion at short focal distance,?xD;?xA;and loss of image quality at maximun ?xD;?xA;optical, plus maximum digital zoom ...?xD;?xA;though i think that more due to the HP 912?xD;?xA;2.1 megapixel resolution than the Kenko lens. Similar Products Used: Vivatar 3x teleconverter with a 35mm SLR. Customer Service: not needed.
