Summary:

Another of the accessory lenses to the Olympus E series camera line. Screws into the camera's 62mm threads. Accepts 72mm filters. You'll need to change the camera's lens menu to work with this lens. This is a true macro lens. Very portable design. Essential for macro photography. The normal lens on the camera without this accessory will allow you to get only so close to the subject and stay in focus. This lens allows some pretty awesome macro detail. You do have to be very steady on your feet, or use a tripod. If small changes occur in your shooting position or if the subject is moving around, there can be difficulties to shoot with this lens. This is characteristic of macro photography -- the lens is not at fault. You should know this before investing. I use this for floral and nature photography, especially when the weather is not too good. The smallest flower can be made to be huge and spectacular. This is a good accessory for me. Don't forget the very small in your photography.

Strengths:

Quality glass. Durable. Fine for close detail work.

Weaknesses:

Not useful on a windy day.
