Summary:

Great alternative to the over priced Olympus TeleConversion Lenses. No noticable image distortion to the untrained eye and slight and i eman very slight to the trained Expert eye. Overall an excellent product for the money and definately Recommeded.

Strengths:

2x added to whatever your Zoom is now, no noticable loss in image quality.

Weaknesses:

Doesn't match color of my camera LOL

Olynpus TCON-14 and TCON-17.

Customer Service:

Haven't found the need to call customer service. Feel i won't ever have to.

Summary:

This lens, compared to my Canon G1 built-in digital zoom is sadly inferior. I compared shots taken with both methods and the telephoto accessory was less sharp and had much lower contrast than the digital zoom built in to the camera.

Strengths:

none that I can see unless you have no digital zoom option on your camera.

Weaknesses:

Heavy, soft, lack of contrast

Summary:

I bought the Tiffen MegaPlus 43mm 2x Telephoto Converter for my Olympus C-3000Z camera. I have also tried the Olympus 1.7x telephoto lens and found that the Tiffen was just as good if not better for much less money. The lens is constructed very well, as their hefty weight shows. The optics appear to be multicoated and the image quality is absolutely excellent. I got the Tiffen adapter tube also and both pieces are of excellent quality and performance. I recommend them to anyone looking for an alternative to Olympus (or other) lenses.
