B+W Linear Polarizer Glass Filter Filters

B+W Linear Polarizer Glass Filter Filters

DESCRIPTION

Linear polarizers are used with most manual focus SLR and rangefinder cameras to increase color saturation and reduce reflections. The neutral gray color and plane parallel polarizer material guarantee optimal image results. The filter factor varies according to how the filter is positioned in relation to the sun. Filter factor is between 2.3 and 2.8.

Strength:

Well made and optically clear

Weakness:

None

Like all other B+W filters, this one also is well made and optically clear. The material quality is obvious once you handle it. What's to say about a polarizer? It works like it's supposed to...darkens sky and reduces reflections. However, I've gotten to the point where I generally don't like the overpolarized (inky blue) sky appearance caused by the filter. I find myself being more judicious in its use.
