Product Description

This is the standard wide angle lens for this format. Special features include a maximum 2.8 aperture, making this among one of the fastest lenses available for the ETR-Si system. This lens is compact and similar in size and weight to the standard PE75mm. Applications include portraiture, landscape, architectural, fine art and fashion.

Strengths:    Top-notch, world-class performance
Second-to-none optical and mechanical precision
Highly capable and dependable professional tool
The Bronica PE 50/2.8 is an overachiever

Weaknesses:    I wish it was less costly
I heard repair would be costly too

Bottom Line:

This superb lens exhibits remarkably high-fidelity imaging capabilities - pinpoint resolution, eye-popping contrast and almost non-existent distortions. It is an ultra-sharp lens not just at infinity but also at close focussing distances. It apparently exceeds the optical standards of comparable Mamiya optics and matches those of Zeiss offerings.
