Summary:

Slow! Slow slow slow. If you're sending the same thing to 30 different people, it might be worth it. Personalized postcards are an all-afternoon investment, though. There are about 8 or 9 steps in the postcard-creation process, and each one requires a 2-minute wait after you finish and advance to the next step.
If you want to upload a high-quality (if 1MB is high quality) pic, be prepared to wait 90 to 120 minutes. I got fed up after waiting for about an hour only to find out that the amazingmail software couldn't upload that particular format of jpeg.
My wife and I have found that it is actually quicker to get some photos printed and hand-write a message on the back and then take them to the post office to mail them.
Sorry, but what is the point of using computers if it takes so much longer to do anything.

Does anybody know of a download they offer that would allow me to do this on my mac at home and then just upload it?

Strengths:

customizable

Weaknesses:

Slow. The web-based program uses retarded carrier pigeons to transfer the 1s and 0s from one place to another. It is quicker to create, print, and write custom postcards by hand.

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:

We have used this company for the last 3 years to mail or Christmas Cards. I design and edit several pictures together using photoshop. I then write a letter for the reverse of the card, upload it and mail it to 100 people. What used to be a chore and take a week, now takes me only an hour or two--and then it's done!

Everyone always tells me how much they look forward to getting our Christmas postcard. And their logo is so small it's barely visible, so it doesn't look like I'm advertising for them. This year we sent out the 11"x6" jumbo card, and it really looked great.

It's easy to recommend their product.

Strengths:

Easy of use, PDF proof before printing, my address book and contact list is kept in my account on the website, postcards are the highest quality, they physically mail the postcards for me

Similar Products Used:

I can't find anything that offers same service. Printers do not mail merge and send cards for you.

Customer Service:

Never have had to use

Review 3 of 4

Price Paid:  $0.00 from Amazingmail.com

Summary:

I cannot come up with anything bad to say about this company or its service. I have to admit, I was leary at first as to what these "free" postcards would look like when delivered but once I saw the final product I was very pleased. They are very professional looking. They also come with a protective coating on them, similar to laminate. The website was also very easy to access and gave you a wide variety of styles and options to choose from. Again, I am very pleased with this service and will continue to use them in the future!

Strengths:

Easy to use website, offers endless number of possibilities to choose from to meet your postcard needs whether it be business or simply casual. They also offer 5 "FREE" postcards to start out with, just for trying their service.

Weaknesses:

None that I can think of...

Similar Products Used:

Looking for similar products on the market...none found so far.

Summary:

The service Amazing Mail provides is unique. You can order a last minute postcard, help in the design--you can use your own photo, and have them mail it to someone you want--all within a very short time. I was a little skeptical, but decided to try a sample which they offer for free. Since then, I've used it as a quick exchange, but using my images.

Strengths:

Saves time and more time and gives you lots of options.

Weaknesses:

A little confusing at first if trying to design your own.

Similar Products Used:

egreetings--but this seemed more personal.

Customer Service:

Did not need to contact them.
