Price Paid:  $0.00 from QVC

Summary:

Customer service not helpful. Did not honor QVC codes for scrapbooks, and despite knowing problems with redemption did not notify customers.
User interface also is lacking ease of use

Review 2 of 21

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:

I tried to make a memory DVD for my grandparent's 50th wedding anniversary - Originally, I felt that shutterfly offered a great way to develop a basic DVD that could hold up to 400 pictures.
For the first week, I uploaded, added, edited and saved about 136 pictures to my DVD and everything worked relatively well - I had my parents’ logon to check it out and everything was good.
Week # 2, I uploaded, added, edited and saved at least 6 times that day to the point where I had over 200 pictures. Throughout the day, I had gone over the time limit and had to re-login at least 5 times and everything was the way I left it (saved). Then came the kicker...I re-logged in for the last time and began to work on my project...then I realized...no longer was there over 200 pictures...there was only 136 pictures!!!!
For whatever reason, it had gone back to the saved project of last week and everything that I had been working on, editing, saving, etc was GONE!!!!
Contacted the help desk, the supervisor and all they had to say was that I must have not saved it and that the system showed that my last saved item was a week ago - I'm not an idiot! I've saved this DVD project over a dozen times and you're telling me you have no records of me working on the project today... you've got to be kidding me!
They were absolutely no help, hardly apologized and barely spoke any clear ENGLISH!!!
Someone please tell me of a better option so I don't have to give a cent to this AWFUL COMPANY and SCAM!!!

Strengths:

They market a great service, but the reality is that it's crap!!!

Weaknesses:

Service, price, reliability, shall I continue!

Customer Service:

AWFUL!!!!

Review 3 of 21

Price Paid:  $10.00 from Hong Kong

Summary:

This is little h*** which looks heaven at first sight. Will say its a trap rather than a deal. They trap you once you are done with your photo uploads. I uploaded my pics before formatting my Laptop in a hope to download all the one again in 2006 but the hell I was never able to get all my goo memories and they ask for huge charges when ever you get a print deal from them. Getting your pics in DVD is another trauma.

Wish no body else gets to this trap like me.

Strengths:

A great trap

Weaknesses:

No worth words recieved about this site

Similar Products Used:

These days lot of products are there. One is Snapfish and i am pretty happy to use it in United Kingdom

Customer Service:

God save us

Review 4 of 21

Price Paid:  $200.00 from shutterfly.com

Summary:

I am so furious with this company. I was drawn to the site by their special holiday discount on shipping and used their card-making service. I sent out 47 christmas cards to my family and was charged $99, which seemed pretty reasonable. Unfortunately, what turned up in my family members mailboxes was NOT the cards that I had ordered, but a single 4x7 print without the nice holiday border and message we had added, in a cardboard envelope filled with pages and pages of advertisements for shutterfly! My husband and I did the math and decided we had been grossly overcharged for sending out just a single print. Since it was two days before christmas when we discovered the mistake, we immediately got on the site and sent out the christmas cards (their site was so tricky to navigate that we very nearly sent the prints again; and the cards cost the exact same ammount as the prints), and sent an email to the customer service center to tell them what had happened. They told me that they couldn't do anything unless I collected all of the prints (from all 47 of my family members) and mailed them back at my own expense. When I emailed back to tell them that this would be impossible since half of the recipients had taken one look at the envelope their print had come in and tossed it in the trash thinking it was junk mail. I received an extremely nasty response saying that this entire issue was my fault and they would not be compensating me except in the form of a $50 gift certificate for their site, which I told them I have no intention of using since I had already paid for my cards twice and the total had come to $200 not $50. It was an extremely insulting email and I have never been more offended by a customer service representative in my life. I have told all of my family to never use this site and I hope to speread the word even further.

Strengths:

The card looked nice when we finally got it a week after christmas.

Weaknesses:

Difficult to navigate and place an order without making a mistake, and exceptionally poor customer service.

Similar Products Used:

Snapfish.com, Kodak and Walmart.

Customer Service:

Wretched!!!

Review 5 of 21

Price Paid:  $99.00

Summary:

Low price, but poor value. Even a disposable 35 mm camera developed at the local 1-hour photo will yield better results.

Strengths:

Price. Web site is well-designed and upload work smoothly.

Weaknesses:

Painfully bad prints. Murky colors and soft images. Prints are absolutely terrible!
