Strength:

28mm. Good lens for a P&S. Fast AF. Excellent flash control, especially the 'Auto Slow' setting. Small and tough - had it years and it's still going strong. Good battery life. Exposure meter seems to cope pretty well. Can be picked up cheap used, but have to hunt it down a bit.

Weakness:

Buttons are a bit small and pokey. Only f/3.5. Nikon stopped making it.

Bit of a sleeper, this one. Good lens, good flash controls, smalll, light and seems pretty tough. Picked it up on a whim in a camera shop years ago, for the 28mm. Was much better than I expected.

Strength:

Reliability 28mm focal length Optical performance Fill in flash results are very good especially in slow sync Quiet operation except for lens opening Small and very portable

Weakness:

Shutter lag on occasion Flash performance with 100ASA

I bought this camera on a limited budget for family "snaps" and did not expect much because of the price. I have been pleasantly surprised. Like most P&S', the flash is weak and there is a fair bit of shutter lag. It does offer a form of fill in flash and the 28 mm lens is unusual in this market segment and seems to have unexpectedly good optical performance. It has given trouble free performance for at least five years. I have started using only the new generation of 400ASA films and the results are very good since the flash power becomes much less of an issue.

Strength:

Very clear pictures
Nice wide angle

Weakness:

Slow flash
slow advance

This is a good little camera. It takes as good of a picture as my $1000 N70. Don't get me wrong- I'd not trade in my N70 for a Lite touch but for a P&S it takes great shots.
I use it for taking skydiving pictures and have rarely ever had any problems with it. It is light in weight and I need the wider angle to get the shots I need.

Strength:

Very clear pictures
Love the wide angle landscape shots

Weakness:

Slow focus

Took it for trip to the UK/Ireland, amazingly easy to use and clear pics. We were near Arthur's Seat, a hill in Edinburgh, Scotland and the sun was at a disadvantage angle, but the landscape shots came out amazingly well. We are very happy with this little guy.

Strength:

A very light camera. It is not a replacment for the 35mm. It does a fine job for the casual photographer. It comes in a waist pouch. A great set of directions.

Weakness:

The magnifcation is good for a point and shoot. Details are lacking but that is the trade offf.

I would suggest this camera for the beginner. Its ease makes it a plus for various lighting situations. With any camera you do have to watch the Sun refecting back.
