Strength:

The camera had everything I wanted. It was 35mm, did panorama shots, had a zoom, and had decent flash features. I took some absolutely *incredible* pictures with this camera over vacation. A credit to what this camera can do even for an amateur photographer.

Weakness:

Unfortunately, it did have some problems. There is no way to work the bulb settings in the dark because the LCD is not backlit. It is also annoying that the bulb setting (and others) are reset after each picture. I had the lens cover snap off, but was able to put it back together. Occasionally, it refused to take pictures for an unknown reason.

An excellent value, but I had a few complaints with it. Hopefully there will be a follow-up model to this one. The price is great, the features are great, but it has some nagging problems.

Strength:

compact. clamshell protects lens nicely. fairly featureful.

Weakness:

row of four identical buttons on top is irritating, especially since many settings reset after every shot. need a flashlight to change settings at night. the multiple exposure mode is very tricky to work with.

This is probably about as good as it gets for an inexpensive point-and-shoot. The lens is slow, f4-f10, half the modes are pointless (fuzzy logic? gimme a break), but it is light, fast, and flexible enough to do more than just party snapshots.
