Strength:

Schneider optic,zoom 35-70 very compact

Weakness:

CR2 battery not easy to obtain prefer AAA. small view finder

This Samsung Vega 77i (EVOCA 70 S QD)is really great. it sharp and have good color contrast. it is better than the Yashica T4 which use the 35mm carl zeiss lens. it is also better than some of my Nikon lens. my family marvel at the shot taken with this samsung. this camera have the same spec and use the same schneider lens like the Rollei Prego 70.

Strength:

Size, Always tells you if the film is loaded incorrectly, Picture quality Various modes Nice looking camera Quite wide angle

Weakness:

At night, susceptible to slight blurring of photos due to hand movement (but i expect all cameras are)

Basically i love this camera. There hasn't been a single bad photo due to anything apart from human error (moving whilst taking picture). The picture quality is stunning too. It has taken some beautifully clear photos, flawless. Ive had a few enlargements done and still perfect. Some of the features are pretty useful too, infinity lock has come in handy quite a few times and bulb mode has produced some good photos. I bought this camera primarily because it was small and had a zoom, and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the camera in general. It is immensly pocketable, i can carry it in my jeans comfortably without needing a belt pouch. Altogether a great camera to carry around for social activities and more.

Strength:

compact, easy to use, a lot of functions

Weakness:

problems with pressing small buttons. I only realized this, when I read one of those reviews.

Excellent in every aspect. I would this one to everybody, women, teenagers, adults who want to experiment a little. It''s very compact. It seem as if Samsung wanted to make a really good impression on camera buyers - amteurs and semi professionals.Schneider lenses play an important part, don''t buy versions with standard Samsung lenses (also available)the price is in USDollars

Strength:

Sall and Light but easy to hold steady. Many useful advanced features. Very sharp, well exposed images. Excellent flash coverage, even and properly exposed. Many advanced features that worked wellunlike sequence shooting in other cameras. Portrait zoom, usual flash modes and backlight comp. 1.5. Many more useful features that are not just add ons but actually work well from my experience.

Weakness:

Access buttons need fingernail pressing. No excuse for this!! Unconventional explanation of flash modes in manual.

Very sharp, well exposed images with excellent flash. Very consistent. Shot 4 rolls of film<200,400,100> and was very pleased with 95% of images. Remoteis also capable of zooming. Bulb mode is a very usefull feature.

Strength:

Extremely compact - I can actually squeeze it into a leatherette case made for a cheap Russain Minox 35 Clone. You can't find a smaller 35-70 35mm P&S camera. Great pictures so far. All in focus, very sharp, with accurate exposures.

Weakness:

Tiny size is a liability if you don't understand how to use a camera like this properly. When you power off your settings revert to default mode. Kind of annoying to have to reset them, but that's minor. No exposure compensation available.

I only put one test roll through the camera so far- I was going to wait a while longer to post but when I saw Mr. Kim's post trashing the camera I had to respond. Dude - learn how to use it and it will do just fine. You're trying to tell us that a camera with a Schneider Lens is giving you grainy photo's?? No Way. All of my photos were clear and sharp!! Exposures were accurate. I'm very pleased. You must remember that a tiny camera is very susceptible to movement. When you've only got 6 oz of weight your shutter finger can introduce enough movement to blur your photos. Use the 2 second shutter delay mode and your photos will sharpen up. Try a few more rolls - if you're actually getting grainy and not fuzzy pictures there may be an exposure problem - USE YOUR WARRANTY.

Ain't broke yet. However - if it does it comes with a 3 YEAR WARRANTY!!!!!

Strength:

Compact design... uh... can't think of anything else.

Weakness:

RIDICULOUS PICTURE QUALITY!!! Gaudy design, low functionality, FUZZY viewfinder, eats up batteries, ... did i mention RIDICULOUS PICTURE QUALITY?!

I've kept this camera in my backpack for candid picture shots. And the only good thing I can say about this camera is that it's ultra compact. I wanted to return it after I received my first set of pictures from the processing center, but I lost the receipt. The pictures are so grainy that I'm embarrassed to archive them in my photo album. All of my friends who have Samsung cameras report the same dissatisfaction with print quality. This camera is truly a piece of FLYING crap!!! You're an idiot if you buy it!

Strength:

Sharp Schneider lens with good contrast.good flash coverage & well exposed pic. very compact with good features.

Weakness:

slow lense, slow maximun 1/400 speed.my film cover does not close properly but no light leak. noisy film winding , mode dial is not clip-stop.

1st roll (12 ) ASA 200 with very good sharp , clear & contrast pictures in both indoor & outdoor. 2nd roll mostly indoor turned out nicely except some not so sharp due to camera shake. ASA 400 speed is recommended.
Half way through 3rd roll ( ASA 400 ) & will test all the features. I bought it because of Schneider lens & have tried cheaper Sumsung compact 35-70 with very good result. Recommend to people who want it compact & high quality shots.

Strength:

Ultra Sharp Schneider Lens, Compact and Stylish, accurate metering and lots of features.

Weakness:

Not wide enough -35mm-70mm, prefer 28mm onwards.
Inconvenient landscape mode.
No multiple focus point.

Really glad to own this lesser known Samsung. The quality of the photos are as good as taken with my Canon EOS50 with Canon 28-105mm lens. The Schneider lens and the accuracy of metering really gives you a worry free photography fun.
If you can leave with the Samsung brand, this is a camera that you will not regret for buying it.

Strength:

Colour and contrast is amazing. Lots of functions like bulb, snap, interval shooting etc

Weakness:

Mine is not as sharp as I thought it would be. Needs really bright sunlight for best pictures.

With enough light or fast film, the results are pretty good. Guess it is because the lens needs to step down a fair bit for optimal performance.

Customer Service

Good
