Strength:

This camera has a great Schneider Lens, no competition. All pictures come clear, bright and sharp, convenient and well designed buttons. Zoom buttons are well located. Samsung really provides great quality for a decent price.

Weakness:

have to use 800 film for best results

Samsung engineered and produced a product that I've been waiting for, a solid 35mm camera that can be point-and-shoot, manually adjusted and has a great zoom range that enables you to take a shot of about anything. I would reccomend it to anyone no matter how experienced they are

Strength:

Has great Schneider Lens, best controls and buttons I've seen on a camera and some neat features that come handy when you take pictures, relatively compact but is reasonable for how many functions it provides

Weakness:

no

It's a great choice for anyone who is willing to spend $150-$200 on a quality camera with no hassle of changing lenses or carrying a big SLR camera around, takes great pictures of closeups of animals and people, just love it!

Strength:

This camera has a great quality Schneider lens and i have owned for more than 2 years. The picture quality is superb for the type of camera it is.

Weakness:

Probably has too many functions you will never use.

Overall I would thoroughly recommend this camera to anyone wanting a holiday or casual point and shoot camera, even those people with expensive SLRs will marvel at the quality of prints this little marvel can produce. And you can blow the prints up quite a lot and still stay pin sharp.
Viva the SCHNEIDER lens!

Customer Service

Strength:

The Schneider lens is the most underrated lens on P & S cameras. It is a marvel, equal with the much-touted Carl Zeiss lens on the Yashica T-4 and the non-zoom on the Olympus Stylus Epic. It is tack sharp, contrasty, with superb color saturation.

Weakness:

Too many functions, too complex, too many buttons, bells and whistles, but who needs them with this lens?

This camera rekindled my passion for photography after more than a decade of dormancy. It takes fantastic pictures!!! You will get wonderful prints with little or no technical ability. Learn to use the fill flash and turn off the flash the rest of the time. Use only Fuji 400 or 800 film, or Kodak 100 Gold.

Strength:

This camera is very smooth. I really like the compact size vs. the zoom range.

Weakness:

No

So far excellent. You need little fingers to work the buttons, but that's what you expect on a body this small. Sounds and feels very substantial. Was rather reluctent on Samsung till I got favorable review from my camera store - even thought I know Samsung is highly promoted and I'm sure many deals and promotions are offered to dealers to push. Looked like very good deal, including extended warranty and case for $150

Strength:

Camera has good heft/feel, smooth quiet zoom, many features, and a good lens.

Weakness:

I felt that many pictures lacked crispness or really sharp focus and the flash was either too stong or not strong enough over the full zoom range. However, the most annoying feature was poor parrallax. Almost every picture was cut off at the bottom with about 1/4 image too much of the space above the subject...and this was while very carefully placing the focus target on the subject.

Overall, a good camera with nice zoom range. Watch the parallax.

Customer Service

Excellent service from Ritz cameras to help me find the "right" camera. Service on the camera not applicable.
