from Staples Summary: Wonderful printer! I've printed at least 50 8"x10"s, several dozen borderless 4"x6" prints, and an uncounted number of borderless 8.5"x11" prints with wonderful results. As long as you are working in (or convert to) SRGB colorspace you will get beautiful results with good images and Canon paper. As with any inkjet, it is designed to work with the manufacturer's paper. They have the best chemical mixture. However, I have EXCELLENT results also with Epson paper, which can be easier to locate and occasionally cheaper. I use this printer as a professional photographer and sell prints from it to clients. They don't know the difference between these prints and those from a lab! It has some of the smoothest gradations that you'll find in an inkjet with beautiful color. I wholeheartedly recommend this printer! I've owned two Epson photo printers previously, and neither gave quality anywhere near this good, or this reliably. I'm sticking with Canon! It's a great compliment to the 10D! Strengths: Color saturation
Color quality
Smooth gradients
Richness of B&W prints
Durability and lifespan of prints
Speed Weaknesses: Output on plain (copier/laser) paper is mediocre, but this is a photo printer - it is not meant for that use Similar Products Used: Epson Stylus Photo 1270
Epson Stylus Photo something -- I forgot the exact model # Customer Service: Never needed! Best kind!
