Review 1 of 7

Price Paid:  $400.00 from Camera store

Summary:

I've used the Canon S900, S9000, BJC8200 and I got the i950 to replace the 8200. All the other Canons produce identical colour on PR101 paper with the same profile, but the 950 gives a much more saturated print. This is a problem and I had to get a profile made for it. Speed is great.

Strengths:

Able to load 6x4 and A4 paper at the same time. Speed.

Weaknesses:

Colour not the same as from other Canons that use the same inkset and paper and profile, much too saturated and needs to be tweaked to get the best.

Similar Products Used:

Canon S900, 9000, BJC8200.

Customer Service:

Not needed

Review 2 of 7

Price Paid:  $249.00 from CompUSA

Summary:

I am very pleased with this printer. All of my prints have turned out great and they are as good as pics from lab. I use Canon Pro paper (little pricey)and have not compared to other photo papers. This printer is far better than the HP Photosmart 7550 in terms of print quality. Two phots printed on same paper from each printer and the HP is nowhere near as sharp as the Canon.

Strengths:

Print Quality Speed Price Separate Ink Cartridges

Weaknesses:

None

Similar Products Used:

HP Photosmart 7550

Customer Service:

None Needed

Review 3 of 7

Price Paid:  $350.00 from Pixmania.pt

Summary:

This is one hell of a printer.I have just owned it for less than a week and i am truly amazed. It prints 4x6 photos flawlessly in less than 30 sec. A4 Photos in less than 2 min. You cannot distinguish between lab photos and Canon'Photos. I bought this printer after reading all i could about Ink jet printers. It took me 5 hours on the Net to make my decision and i do not regret it one bit. My camera is a Sony DSC-V1 but i'm thinking to moving to a Canon Powershot G5. Price paid 385 Euros with a new set of INK cartridges delivered to my front door.

Strengths:

Amazing quality Fast, very fast Very easy to set up

Weaknesses:

Canon's paper is a bit expensive but i've used other brands witrh great success. No comments yet on Ink consumption.

Customer Service:

Not used yet.

Review 4 of 7

Price Paid:  $199.00 from Micro Center

Summary:

This is a great printer! Although I have used it less than a month, I am amazed by the quality of the color prints it produces, not to mention the speed at which it produces them. I printed a screenshot of a videogame (Tron 2.0)- the detail and color fidelity are matchless.

Strengths:

Quick speed Quiet Quality of color Software is easy to use

Weaknesses:

Large footprint for cramped spaces Some fuzziness on regular paper, especially black text

Customer Service:

Not used yet (knock on wood)!

Review 5 of 7

Price Paid:  $239.00 from DELL

Summary:

I OWN A STORE FRONT STUDIO,WHICH ATTRACTS A BROAD CLIENTEL. A LARGE % OF MY BUISNESS IS FORMAL PARTIES,FAMILY REU. ANY LARGE GROUPS WHO WANTS A PAY & PRINT PHOTOGRAGHER(dont laugh it pays bills)MY MAIN PRINTER USED TO ABLE TO PRINT A 4x6 IN 2MIN,8x10 IN ABOUT 5MIN, CAN YOU IMAGINE TRING TO KEEP UP.ABOUT 7 MO AGO I PURCHASED THIS PRINTER, 8X10 UNITS NOW IN JUST 1.5 MIN (INCLUDING LOAD TIME) WITH THIS PRINTER & CANON PRO PAPER MY RESULT ALWAYS COMES WITH PRAISE. MY STUDIO WORK STILL GOES TO LAB, BUT IF SOMEONE WANTS IT QUICK I DONT HAVE A PROBLEM PRINTING ON THIS PRINTER..THE COLOR IS TRUE & THE SHARPNESS IS BREATH-TAKING,KNOWING THAT IT CAME FROM A DESK TOP PRINTER. FOR AS TEXT I'M A PHOTOGRAPHER, NEED TO PRINT TEXT BY A PRINTER FROM WAL-MART, WANT A 8X10 YOU CAN FRAME BUY A CANON I950.

Strengths:

--QUALITY --SPEED --IND. TANKS FOR INK (6) --A NAME LIKE CANON TO STAND BEHIND. -- THAT OLDER SLOW PRINTER I SPOKE OF COSTED ME OVER $425.00, SO WITH THIS QUAILTY, THE PRICE IS UNBEATABLE... --

Weaknesses:

THEY DIDNT GIVE IT AWAY??? -- FOR VOLUME PRINTING WOULD LIKE TO SEE BETTER PRICING FOR SUPPLIES.

Similar Products Used:

HP 1315 MODEL KODAK 8500 EPSON 2200

Customer Service:

NEVER NEEDED
