Summary:
Pick the printer from the rubbish bin.The printer was bang it head. Fixed the level at the edge of the printer. Got it to print for 2 months. Starts banging it head again, this time was the spring loader for the motor belt is loose. Reposition it and start working. Replaced ink cartridge with Imation,now the color profile is totally out.

Strengths:
Prints beautifully if it works.

Weaknesses:
Waste too much ink on cleaning. Problems follows by problems.

perfict after 4 year of at least 2 pages of photo 1440dpi photo per day. !!Dont you dare complane about this printer!!

Summary:
I purchased this piece of crap right after the first raving reviews of its printing quality. I was very happy at first, even though I paid ~$250 for it. At about a year it started banging the hell out of itself and sounding like stripping gears when the power was turned on. After several power cycles it eventually started working again, but did this about once a month. I put up with it until last night when I could not get it to work at all. Every time I went to print I crossed my fingers.

I will never buy another Epson. I printed maybe two color prints a week. The HP950C at work has been in service since 1/00 and prints out at least 50 color prints every day. I'm going HP! That's the type of reliability I want.

Strengths:
When this unit is/was working it printed excellent photos.

Weaknesses:
Loud, slow, bangs the crap out of itself when booting, wastes tremendous amounts ink cleaning itself constantly, very unreliable!

This is one of worst printers I have ever owned. Went back to HP printers, they are built like tank, Ishould have known better!

When it did work, the pictures were beautiful. The speed was intolerable and looked terrible in fast mode.
PLEASE NOTE, THIS PRINTER HAS THE PRINT HEADS IN THE CRADLE
THAT HOLDS THE INK CARTRIDGES, AND THEY WILL CLOG UP!!
Once your print heads are clogged up, good luck. I had to
take the thing apart, soak it in alcohol for almost 2weeks,
put pressure in the ink heads to finally clear them up. I have et to reassemble this poorly designed printer.

Strengths:
When it was working, beautiful pictures.IT'S GREAT AT CLOGGING IT'S PRINT HEADS!!!

Weaknesses:
Clog print heads are a norm for this printer. Look up Epson
printer forum on the net to see what people recommend-HP!!!

Similar Products Used:
I have an HP that's over 6years old and never had a problem
with it. I've tried Canon, Lexmark, Epson and HP.
I could only recommend HP

Customer Service:
Alright. If the product is out of warranty it'll cost you
more to fix it then to replace it.
