Summary:

Please note ; this scanner is very close to proffesional pics you get from the lab;IF you know how to set up your software and alike! if so,you will be impressed how good scanners are these days. Although trees so far dont grow into heaven i will vote this a best buy,and you will not regret this compared to ANY scanner on the market up to several hundred dollars! Buy it if you NEED such scanner type.

Strengths:

Weaknesses:

Review 2 of 11

Price Paid:  $150.00 from Staples

Summary:

Not the best printer available for photo printing, but I was very suprised the first 4x6 I printed out from this printer. Using the Epson Borderless 4x6 Premium Glossy Photo Paper I get very good prints for under $.14 a picture. My wife loves the fact we can print out photos at home for cheap for her scrap booking. I also use the compact flash card reader when I don't feel like finding my multi-card reader. Just pop it in and transfer the files. All in all I'm happy with this printer. Good cost to performance ratio in my book.

Strengths:

# Borderless printing # Uses paper rolls # Good photo quality # All around printer

Weaknesses:

# Could have better quality photos on different types of paper # Can not use much bigger than 8.5x11 paper

Similar Products Used:

Many printers over the years

Review 3 of 11

Price Paid:  $60.00 from Ebay

Summary:

I am a photography major working towards my masters. We use this printer in my school office. I dont know what some people are doing that are getting bad resolution, but my guess is that the image wasnt great in the first place. One thing you must do is calabarate your monitor to your printer. Make sure whatever software you are using, you set up the settings correctly. I produced some great images on this printer. You honestly would think they were professional. I scanned 35mm negs at 1200 dpi, and color corrected in photoshop and went down to 300 dpi and printed at high res w/ NO HIGH SPEED PRINTING and made them into 8x10s. Perfect. If you need a cheap printer that will give you great results, I highly suggest this one.

Strengths:

get resolution fast, cheap cheap ink cartridges

Weaknesses:

ran out of ink after 12 8x10s (not really a weakness) the ink is cheap anyway and it was at the highest setting

HP 750 all in one

Review 4 of 11

Price Paid:  $60.00 from office max

Summary:

I caught this printer on sale at Office Max cheep! I wanted a low cost photo printer for my digital camera and was disapointed with my Lexmark. I got alot more than I barganed for. I get sharp borderless prints with bright colors. At first I used left over HP photo paper and was alittle dissipointed (too much red!). Then tried the included Epson photo paper with great results. Photo print speed is slow, but I don't really care.

Strengths:

Borderless prints Inexpensive ink replacement Direct prints from memory cards

Weaknesses:

Use only Epson paper for photos Text print is not that sharp

Lexmark z32 Lexmark x50
