    Summary:
Do not buy Epson! For one thing the print head is in the machine (not in the cartridge) so when the head goes you have expensive repair costs. The heads are delicate and need replacing regularly. This is where Epson make their money. Also, their ink cartridges contain very little ink, cannot be refilled and cost the earth (Epson also put a chip in the cartridges to prevent refiling). I had Epson in the past but never again. Although it is possible to buy Epson compatible ink cartridges, using these invalidates the guarantee and at the end of the day it is the print head that will need replacing whatever make of ink cartridge you use.

    Strengths:
    Looks nice.

    Weaknesses:
Expensive in ink. Print head in machine - quickly deteriates and needs replacing (expensive). These are major negatives. Buying Epson will be an expensive option.

    Similar Products Used:
    Canon Lexmark

    Customer Service:
Very poor. If you have a problem they will try to sell you more stuff. Stay well clear of Epson.
