Review 1 of 3

Price Paid:  $99.00 from Best Buy

Summary:

A great little printer, very nice quality prints if you just want 5 or 10 prints at a time, but too slow and expensive for large quantities. Ink runs out before the paper in the supplied pack. I would give 5 Stars if the ink cartridge lasted for the 100 sheets supplied.

Strengths:

Very nice picture quality, colors are super.
Works fine when pictures are edited on your computer and printed via USB port.

Weaknesses:

Paper and ink cartridge are packaged together. You will always run out of ink and have 25 or so 4x6 sheets left over. I have about 250 4x6 and can't get an ink catridge by it self. Prints best with Epson Gloss paper.

Review 2 of 3

Price Paid:  $199.00 from Epson.com

Summary:

This handy printer makes 4 x 6 prints in beautiful color for about 29 cents each. Works with several kinds of media storage cards. It's small, easy to pack for traveling and works without a computer -- one of the best purchases I've ever made.

Strengths:

Good color on prints; portability; offers several print options including sepia and black-and-white.

Weaknesses:

Per-print cost is a bit higher than a full-size photo printer; the PhotoMate doesn't work well with any photo paper except Epson, which usually is more expensive, and is limited to 4 x 6 prints only.

Similar Products Used:

Use an HP Photosmart 1115 for most photo work at home and/or when I need a size other than 4 x 6.

Customer Service:

Haven't had a problem with the PictureMate since I purchased it.

Review 3 of 3

Price Paid:  $199.00 from amazon.com

Summary:

I have had my PictureMate for about 3 weeks and have printed over 50 4 x 6 color prints. All I can say is the prints are outstanding-color quality is superb, the prints come out dry and shiny and the printer is very easy to use. Tales about two minutes per print but that beats ordsering prints on line or taking your card to the local drug store. Just choose which pictures on your card you want to print, put in the paper and press PRINT and walk away.

Strengths:

Outstanding quality, easy to use, less than 27 cents per print. Lightweight portable printer that does not require a computer.

Weaknesses:

None whatsoever.

Similar Products Used:

Various HP and Canon color photoprinters.

Customer Service:

None needed.
