Strengths: print quality, reasonable price, ease of use
Weaknesses: prints aren't fully water proof.
Bottom Line:
I started with phototgraphy and wanted a printer to finish photo's myself. Bu I've spend quite some money on equipment lately so my printer should not be too expensive. Bye bye pigment ik using printers...
A friend of mine who is a professional photographer then recommended this printer to me. Actually the first thing he told me was to buy nothing else than Epson. (He's no specific Epson dealer)
So I took his advice and took the plunge on this one. So what's the good news. Well picture quality is very well. Much better than my previous printer (HP 930) which was no real photo printer. I've put prints mad myself and made by a lab next to eachother and print quality is similar. Actually one of the prints was messed up by the lab because they had tweaked the picture getting it oversaturated. My own print had all detail as I wanted it. Prints have good water risistance but are not water proof. Dont worry about cleaning a print with a damp cloth but don't rinse them onder tap water.
Printing speed is fine for me. I've not really measured it. The printer is easy to use and all funtions well. Provid software is OK.
All in all this printer does what it has to do. Print good photo's. Speed is fine for home use and the printer is quite intuitive to use.
