from Compusa Summary: The HP 1115 printer has been a solid part of my digital photography effort. It has made printing digital images both easy and enjoyable.
Easy simply because it is a no brainer to take the media card (I use both Smart Media and Compact Flash) out of the camera, place in the printer, and either print straight from the printer, or transfer to the computer for post processing.
A joy because the photo quality is very good on photo paper. I have even taken to stretching the limits of the camera, ie) printing 8 X 10 prints from my 2 Mega Pixel HP 912 camera. The ones I've done have pleased not only me, but friends and family.
That is really the bottom line for me. The final product is worth the effort, which really in no major undertaking, thanks to the printer design and interfacing of the HP software. Strengths: Very good photo quality, while maintaing excellent text print; built-in card reader for SM and CF (while slow it is a breeze to use); very good mechanical operation (only 1 paper jam in a year, and that probably my putting the sheet in slightly askew). Weaknesses: The cost of ink is, like other printers Ive used, too expensive. Also, I sometimes wish it would print faster, but not often. Similar Products Used: The Epson 600 was closest printer I previously had that even came close to a photo quality printer, and that was not even in the same neighborhood. The photo quality prints by this printer really impre Customer Service: I have not used them, and generally do not think HP customer service is something I can count on.
