from Sam's Club Model Reviewed: HP deskjet 5550 Summary: On a budget, I wanted a printer that could deliver great photoquality while at the same time being useful for occasional document printing and I got it! The 5550 prints detailed, sharp photos that are essentially photolab quality when the optional photoinkcartridge is used. I use either HP premium glossy or premium plus matte photopaper now, but have also used kodak premium high gloss with great results. I was surprised to find that my colorcartridge lasted through 50+ 8x10's (on highest quality setting!) PLUS 75 color flyers (on "everyday" quality setting)!! I was expecting much less, considering reviews I have read... My photo cartridge is still going strong, but I do not use that for every photo, only about 50% of them. Overall I'm very pleased with this printer and would recommend it to anyone, maybe more expensive dedicated photoprinters can deliver better results but I'm very happy with the quality of the 5550! I have not had any problems with borderless 4x6's at all, and any and all special projects I have printed such as photomagnets and t-shirt transfers have come out looking great! Strengths: great photoquality, fast and nice looking black text printing, economical Weaknesses: Slow printing photos, a bit noisy. No USB cable included, but I had one from my old printer anyways! ;-) Similar Products Used: Epson Stylus C80, HP deskjet 932,
