Review 1 of 5

Price Paid:  $99.00 from circuit city

Summary:

Bought 2110 didnt work, bought 7150 didnt work. Both times HP support's answer was buy something else or return it and try another. I will never do business with HP or any company that can't give me what I paid for.

Strengths:

NONE

Weaknesses:

HP Support, HP doesnt care if your product doesnt work.

Similar Products Used:

2110 Didnt work either

Customer Service:

Nice people, yet can't help you, and you pay for the 6 hours to find this out.

Review 2 of 5

Price Paid:  $149.00 from Staples

Model Reviewed:
HP Photosmart 7150

Summary:

Excellent print quality. I am very happy with this printer. The first photo I printed, I printed in "Normal" mode. The was very good but had very faint banding on the image (expected). I usually do this for comparison - the fainter the banding, the better the printhead resolution. Once I changed the print preferences from "Normal" to "Best", the results were breathtaking.

Strengths:

Excellent color at a good price. For Photo printing it is hard to beat.

Weaknesses:

Cartidges are relatively expensive. Cartidges are less expensive than my previous HP Deskjet 855C (although, I think It would balance because the 855C probably printed more pages per cartridges). Text printing is very poor unless the print preferences are set to "Best" - a minor weakness. Swapping the black cartridge and the photo cartridge - not really a weakness(to me)if you don't mind doing this. If you do find this a weakness, opt for the HP Photosmart 7350 or 7550.

Review 4 of 5

Price Paid:  $139.00 from Office Depot

Model Reviewed:
HP 7150 PhotoSmart

Summary:

The construction and mechanical aspects of this printer are excellent. The software included is advanced, professional looking, and intuitive. The photographs (on premium paper) are phenomenal. I have a 4 mp Olympus E-10 (an excellent quality camera) and I have made 8x10's that I CROPPED into from the software and they were indistinguishable from lab prints. No visible dots, and tones were very warm and graduated.

Strengths:

Image Quality is excellent, Software Quality, Build Quality. I thought the papers were of superior quality to Epson's.

Weaknesses:

Ink cartriges are WAY overpriced. (this is nothing specific to HP though) Maybe they aren't that overpriced if people like myself keep buying them. :( Paper's pretty expensive too.

Similar Products Used:

Used an Epson C82 and it the Epson paled in comparison in all aspects. I am sure the higher-end Epsons dominate, but there was no question the C82 (the new 785EX I believe) was inferior to this HP

Review 5 of 5

Price Paid:  $129.00 from Staples

Model Reviewed:
HP-7150

Summary:

Got the printer refurbished at Staples. Printed a high resolution 4x6 picture. Pictures came out awesome! Imagine with a higher mb camera! I have a Fuji Finepix 2650 (2mb), and the picture quality came out great. I didn't try to print 8x10, but I can imagine the printer can handle it. The downside is the cartridges cost almost more than what I paid for the printer. For the price, its a great photo printer for the money.

Strengths:

Great 4x6 prints. Cheap price. HP quality.

Weaknesses:

Replacement ink cartridges are kind of pricey.

Similar Products Used:

Canon 4403 Photo
