Review 1 of 26

Price Paid:  $199.00 from Staples

Summary:

The printer is great. Power supply is bad, melted. It was hard to find another one. I Never looked at any Lexmark printers again to buy.

Strengths:

Fast compare to inkjet printers

Weaknesses:

Bad engineering power supply design.

Similar Products Used:

After, this Lexmark died. I bought HP & Cannon (Laser) printers. They work great.

Customer Service:

No response.

Price Paid:  $180.00 from Best Buy

Summary:

Like many other people, power supply melted after about 18 months of light use. The power supply was extremely hot and a major fire hazard!!!

Good Print Quality

Review 3 of 26

Price Paid:  $149.00 from Dell

Summary:

This thing stinks literally. I got home this afternoon to a plastic stench filling my home office. I have found that my power supply has melted with the Z65. I have ready many reviews within this forum, and I have decided I will never buy another lexmark product ever agian.

Weaknesses:

Faulty Power Supply and lack of any info within the Lexmark knowledge base. As well, when I go to their site for tech support I get redirected to the web site of a printer cartrgidge reseller.

Customer Service:

DOn't know yet.

Review 4 of 26

Price Paid:  $200.00 from Compusmart

Summary:

Lexmark Z65n: Came home from work today to find all three lights on the printer flashing and smell of burning plastic. After trying to reset the cartridges spoke with tech support in Canada. Discovered the power supply beginning to melt down. Incredible fire hazard. Lexmark is sending us a replacement power supply. Fine, but still a huge FIRE HAZARD. Has anyone made any progress with price reimbursement from Lexmark? Probably wishful thinking. Any recommendations for a better printer to use with an Olympus C5060Z?

Strengths:

Fairly rapid printing. Decent quality for text.

Weaknesses:

Cost of replacement cartridges.

Customer Service:

Trevor at Lexmark Tech Support, St. John, New Brunswick, Canada provided excellent and prompt service. Knew the problem immediately.

Review 5 of 26

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:

Lexmark Z65 Printer -- After three days of talking with the service support in Asia, I got a person in Canada that helped identify a melted down power supply. Support told me my printer was three months out of warrenty and I would have to buy a ned printer to use up the eight cartridges I just purchased. Should have read the reviews before hand.

Weaknesses:

No durability and poor customer support unless you are lucky enough to get soemone in Canada

Similar Products Used:

HP and Epson Printers.

Customer Service:

Non existant if you are unlucky enough to roll over to the Asian desk.
