Strength:

Good size
very comfortable even when carrying it all day
wetherproof cover - important as I live in S FL and a rainshower could pop up literally at any moment
well padded - good protection
durable
affordable

Weakness:

Would be nice to have some outside hooks or velcro to attach a tripod/monopod oterwise NONE

Great "day bag" it holds the large Fuji s2 body w/ lens attached several other lenses (including a 100-300 zoom) and a few accessories in th main compartment and has seperate compartment in front for filters CF cards and whatnot. It is NOT the bag for you if you want to drag "everything" with you all the time.

Strength:

Construction, size-to-amount of stuff you can put in. Water repelancy. Good price (shop around).

Weakness:

Better shoulder strap, hooks or straps for a tripod.

I don't know how people can give this bag a bad rating. I had a Nova 4 which I sold for this one. Why? This holds bascially the same as the Nova 4, but is much smaller and less bulky. It's the perfect bag. I keep my F100, 50 1.8, 24 2.8, 85 1.8 and my SB28 flash and it all fits nicely with a little space left for filters. The construction is great, but I wouldn't have minded a little wider shoulder strap. One other nice feature would be to have some "hooks" to hang a tripod or something off of the bag. This is a fantastic bag, not too big and not too small. I've been searching for this "size" for months, because the F100 is a little "thicker" than most SLRs.

Strength:

Tough, fairly inexpensive, good quality build. Holds enough stuff for the average photog - I keep a spare body in mine and still have room for two or three lenses, a flash, my cell phone plus a snack.

Weakness:

The coating on most of the metal surfaces doesn''t wear too well, but there''s not a speck of rust on mine.

Tough little sucker - this bag can take a serious beating but still keep your stuff safe. I''ve been in crowd situations where the bag''s been crushed against me, but nothing inside was worse for the wear.

Model Reviewed: Nova 3 Verticle Camera Bag

Strength:

-Very durable
-Holds equipment securely
-modular interior

Weakness:

-"Hey look! I'm a camera bag!!"
-Bulky
-two-level design can make it a pain to get to some things

This is a great bag for storing and protecting equipment during transport. I bought mine in 1994, but I never carry it with me when I'm out shooting. It just screams "camera bag!" I carry my camera and 2 lenses in Lowepro's Topload Zoom 2 when I'm out in the woods, adventuring, etc. I've opted for the very discrete Domke F6 "a little bit smaller bag" for shooting around town and when carrying 2 bodies and 4 lenses.

Strength:

Roomy enough to accomodate a single camera system.

Weakness:

Bulky
Obviously looks like a camera bag (theft/geek-look concerns)
Can't fit large camera bodies

I like this camera bag for what it can contain. I don't like this bad for the way it fits on my shoulder and the way it carries. It also barely fits my EOS-3. I now use a messenger bag to carry all my camera equipment.

Strength:

The bag is very well made...it's Lowepro. I find it light and comfortable to throw over your shoulder and go anywhere with. Good padding for the occasional bumping around it may get. Good selection of "compartments" for storing odds & ends although possibly tight for space.

Weakness:

A little shallow for slr and zoom lens. A tad bit compact for an array of equipment. Would be great for short trips where you need limited equipment for a specific assignment.

I personally feel this would be a great second camera bag where you can use it for a specific purpose. If you know exactly what you need to carry it is a great bag. If you have more then a few lenses, filters, rolls of film and want easy access I would get a bag with a different layout or slightly larger. The quality is very good, it's just a matter of whether it's big enough for you. A very good starter bag or as previously mentioned a great second bag!!

Strength:

Very well made, adjustable compartments, weather resistant.

Weakness:

Not big enough to hold a good variety of equipment -- just the basics.

This is a great camera bag. Don't buy it if you want to carry ALL your stuff around all the time. Get a bigger bag.
