Strength:

big&strong All-Weather cover strap prize looks great, but doesn't draw attention too much (no huge signs, etc.)

Weakness:

dividers could be better

Very nice bag. And HUGE! It can hold too bodies (zenit xp 12 (About the size of a digital rebel), eos 3000v with bp220), four lenses (one is attached onto camera), 420 ex flash, 2x tc, filters, diffuser, and some other accesories. And it would probably be capable carrying more, if you'd "re-organize" the interiors. I have the new version (Nova 5 AW), the weather-cover is perfect, no more worries about rain. Feels and looks really massive. It's perfect for any intermediate photographer (opening might be too slow & complicated for pro's and reporters, etc.).

Strength:

Construction Thickly padded shoulder pad Thick padding on all sides of the bag Big enough for all of your equipment but not so big that you can’t it carry around Big enough to safely and securely make lens/filter changes in side The fact that I can carry the following equipment all at once with two empty compartments to spare. Minolta Maxxum 5 Extra set of batteries Minolta 24-105 f3.5-4.5 Minolta 70-210 f4 (the really tall one) Minolta 50mm f1.7 Minolta 28mm f2.8 Minolta 3500xi flash Tamron 70-300 LD Macro Sony Hi 8 camcorder Sony batter charger Sony remote control for camcorder 2 Sony Hi 8 tapes 5 extra filters 2Len Pen 2 Micro fiber cloths Unlimited rolls of film Mini flash light

Weakness:

Not a weakness, but I agree wiht the previous poster. They neede to add longer velcro along the inside of the bag. But that's it.

Where do I start? This bag has it all. True it’s a little wide but the fact that I can carry ALL of my equipment at once makes this something I will gladly live with it. PLENTY of room with many different configuration options makes this the perfect bag. The shoulder strap is padded and distributes the weight evenly across my shoulder. All of the newer Nova 5 bag comes with the All Weather coating so I don’t anticipate any problems with the rain. The Nova 4 is only 3 inches shorter and about 1 1/2 inches taken off the width so for my needs the Nova 5 fit.

CaseLogic camcorder bag. Very good little bag but I was limited to only one lens and needed to have the flash attached to my Maxxum in order to get it to fit.

Strength:

Lots of room, build quality.

Weakness:

dividers can be a little tricky to get situated.

This thing is huge!! I found it at B&H in the used department, but it was still brand new in the original packaging. There were quite a few left. I bought it to replace my smaller bag. I figured go a little overboard and get the bigger one. It easily holds my 2 bodies, 2 lenses, flash, hoods, film.... It's not waterproof like the AW series, but it's a lot cheaper. I just treated it with a waterproofing spray used for Gore-Tex clothing. This bag does have a flap that covers the top. It should be ok for most of the time. I keep a tiny garbage bag inside to cover the camera bag if needed. It's kind of cheesy, but it works. Overall it's everything I expected.

Strength:

Cheap Big ailine carry on

Weakness:

inside could have better parts to devide and could be a bit more wtare proof

I bought this bag after my old one got too small. And I can't say I regret it, I even bought a new one after the old one got stolen (with gear inside), so for me it is a great bag.

Strength:

+ Price + Amount of equipment it can carry + Customization

Weakness:

- Not enough scratch inside - Strap is a bit too short and thin

This is a very good bag which can carry lots of equipment. The material seems solid (like any other Lowepro bag), there are lots of pockets and compartments and the bag can easily be customized. The equipment I have carried in this bag is: Canon EOS A2 with 50mm attached Canon Elan 7 with 100mm macro attached Canon EF 80-200 f4 L Canon EF 28mm Canon EF Extender 2x Canon 540ez Flash Filter 67mm polarizer in box Filter 58mm polarizer in box Tripod plate (for bogen 3047) Lens cleaning kit About 10 rolls of films The magic lantern guide for each camera The National Geographic Field guide book ... and a few other things but there is still some room for new equipment (e.g. 1 T lens). I haven''t found the bag to be particularly big or heavy to carry but I am 6".2 and in good shape. This is not the bag you will carry around on a field trip but it is more than adequate when shooting in cities or on sites.

Strength:

Good quality build and attractive. Fit''s in the FAA size requirement standards for airline carry-on baggage. Waterproof! Price/Value

Weakness:

Needs more velcro inside. Needs more padding on the shoulder strap.

Great bag for the price! I holds everything an intermediate photographer would possibly need. In response to another post regarding the weatherproofness...I set my bag at the bow of a charter fishing boat and was changing film in one of my cameras when we took a wave over the bow. It was a waterfall over the camera bag and all I could do was watch. Much to my amazment, everything inside was dry as a bone!

Strength:

Price. Lots of room. Solid construction. Good amount of padding. Small enough (barely) for airline carry-on use.

Weakness:

Shoulder strap is very uncomfortable after a short while. Bag is a little too wide to carry in a crowd. No place for a tripod. Needs more velcro on the inside. I''ve had some trouble with the zipper on the main compartment (probably just mine).

This is a good bag for a great price. It has plenty of room for most serious amateur systems with room to expand.

Strength:

It's capable of carrying 2 bodies plus an assortment of lenses, flashes, filters, film, and accesories. I have to stop myself from getting carried away and putting all my equipment in this bag! Nice weatherproof exterior. Dividers in front pocket make organization easy. Fits nicely through cary-on baggage check and slides under the seat once on board.

Weakness:

Shoulder strap a little too flimsy for the weight of the bag when full. Velcro could go higher inside. Padding on the top body&zoom caddy lost its shape. -All of these are easy and cheap to fix if you have the materials to do so.

The price I paid for this bag is equal to that of a cheap no-name model, but this bag is all professional. Its features and style make it a great choice!

Strength:

Nice large size with waterproof exterior. pockets on the hood and exterior sides

Weakness:

Velcro could cover larger areas of the enterior so that move the dividers more to your equipment needs

I really love this camera bag! It is ideal for my equipment. The top has a handle and the shoulder strap works well for short carries (yes the shoulder strap has skimpy banana shaped pad). Optional backpack straps can be added to this bag but I simply use one of the Lowpro waist runner bags when I go for extended field shooting. Looks good, priced good, and holds me equipment safe and dry.

Model Reviewed: Nova 5 Verticle Camera Bag

Strength:

Good solid construction, holds a fair amount of gear.

Weakness:

shoulder strap is a little this, bag is too thick to be caried very comfortably

A quality bag if you don't plan on walking in a crowded place or a long distance. Depth is too much so that it bumps people and causes a disturbance, should increase length rather than depth.
