This is a great camera bag. I''ve been skiing in Lake Tahoe and Colorado with it. I also mountain bike with it and it has protected my camera in a few crashes. I''ve never had to repair a camera using this, although I''ve only used it for three years. Mine is black and it''s made of very durable nylon pack cloth. It''s also padded pretty good. It still looks as good as it did the first day I got it. I''ve seen some bags that look pretty nerdy, but this one looks cool and doesn''t stand out in a crowd. I put my Canon 380EX flash in the side pocket(can''t zip shut the top..but that''s ok) and use the other pocket for filters, film and batteries. It fits the Canon Elan 7 nicely, but it won''t fit it with the BP-300 battery pack/grip attached. My main lens is a 24-85mm and I have the Canon flower hood on it. To put it in the fanny pack you have to turn the hood around which in turn catches the supports. So that can be a hassle taking it off and putting it on. It is also light weight which is nice.

Lightweight yet sturdy construction great for backpacking/hiking with a minimal amount of equipment. Comfortable hands free use.

Wish the lens cases were a little larger so my Nikon 70-300 would fit. Not a problem b/c I purchased the street and field case to substitute for one of the original cases.

Great deal for the active photographer that needs minimal equipment. Good price (less than $40 mail order) for a bag I take everywhere!

Lens pockets could stand to be a bit bigger. I can't fit my speedlight in one.

Zipper to main compartment sometimes catches on the padding making it difficult to close.

I have used this bag to transport my camera and lenses while skiing. I have fallen while skiing landing directly on the bag with my camera and lenses in it. No noticable damage to the camera. This bag provides excellent protection for your equipment. The belt is easily adjusted and will fit most people. I have not noticed any movement of the bag even when skiing the steeps or in the bumps. The bag can be worn in the front, making access to your camera simple. These is a great bag.

I took it to a 5-week europe backpacking trip and on another 5-week asian trip. It's really convenient. I had my large backpack in the back and this belt pack in the front. I had no problem accessing the equipment inside pack. It's surprisingly waterproof as caught in a rain a few times while hiking with it back in the bay area.

the zipper holders used for pulling the zippers on mine are metallic. every time i walk they walk make clicking sounds. they are especially annoying when running.

If you have only a camera with 2 small zooms, and you'd to something to hold those together in a hiking/photoshoot trip, it's a very good choice. if you want to carry more, like an external flash, long zoom lens, this pack wouldn't cut it.

Could use a couple more pockets to store some small stuff like filters, etc.

I've added a Lowepro Z series case to each side of the Off Trail and now it is my perfect bag for day trips. I manage to stuff it with my OM-2n with winder, 3 lenses, teleconverter, flash, and a small complement of filters, lens cleaning kit, etc. etc. Shortly after purchasing the bag, I toyed with the idea of getting the larger OT 2 or even the Off Road. But, I'm now glad I didn't. By simply attaching two more small cases, I can now carry the kit I want in what I consider to be the more comfortable of the three belt packs.

Great belt pack for all uses. Good for hiking, camping, walking around the street, even for shooting events. I store my HTsi plus and 28-80 lens in the main pouch and a 80-200 in one side pouch and my flash in the other. Or sometimes only use the main pouch when I don't want to carry too much. Belt clips are strong and sturdy too.
