Strength:

Sturdy and built like a tank.

Weakness:

Weight and bulkiness.

The 3057 is one solid tripod head. I use it with the Mamiya RZ67 and even when I wind the film advance crank the camera remains intact without any movement whatsoever. The 3057 is definitely a keeper.

Strength:

Rock solid. You could put an elephant on this head. Bubble levels a big plus. Long handles with large grips make loosening and tightening easy

Weakness:

Always the size and weight

If you shoot large format, mount this head on a Zone VI wooden tripod and you will never buy another tripod and head again. It holds my 8x10 with ease and I imagine it will hold an even larger camera. The bubble levels on the head make tripod setup easier for LF shooters when they level the camera. Extremely solid steel construction will give years of life even if you drop it off a cliff. The weight and size make transport a little more difficult but its worth it.
