Strength:
Carbon fiber, sturdiness, quality and flexiablity.
Weakness:
None I actually own the G1325 model. This thing is a ROCK, one sturdy tripod for sure. Weighing only 4.5 lb, it has to be the best support you can get in that light of a tripod. Dayhikes seem to be no problem with this tripod. It will handle some pretty big camera and lens combo. Build quality seems very very high and you have the option of adding a center column if you like or leveling head. Similar Products Used: Bogen 3001D |

Strength:
This is a carbon fiber CF) tripod and I bought it because of its light weight and quality. It comes with CF center column and also a flat plate to mount a head directly on it w/o centre column. Great feature! The latest version is MKII and is better than earlier ones as some improvements have been made. It is steady and rock solid. I use it with the Arca Swiss B1 ballhead. All Gitzo tripods come with lifetime warranty and I think it is true. It can support up to 12kgs!
Weakness:
None found. There are many people complain about the screw locks and I have never found any difficulty in this. One should hold the upper tube section first in order to twist/lock it easily and smoothly. I use it to support my maximum outfit load of: Nikon F5 with AF-S 80-200mm f/2.8 IF-ED lens with TC-20E 2X teleconverter with SB-28 speedlight. The tripod moves zero inch here and I am sure it can support all the way up to 600mm f/4. Customer Service Never used yet. Similar Products Used: N/A |

Light weight, robust build, cool looks A sweet tripod. I looked at the G1227 and G1228 but they just didn't seem stable enough. The G1329 is very impressive, and it's a joy to use. I have a full, detailed review of this tripod on my website. To go directly to the review, click HREF="http://www.rdrop.com/~dbp/equipment/g1329.html">here. Strength:
Light weight, Stable, smooth action, carbon fiber
Weakness:
none This is in my opinion the Gitzo to own if you have to own one. A three section design which allows for a 6' height when the center column is extended. It comes with a flat plate which for the traditionalist makes this even more stable. Has the great carbon fiber build and action. 26 lbs weight capacity despite its 4 lb weight. If your a smart shopper you can pick this up from robert white photography in England. They will ship this to the states in 2 days via ups and beat the big NYC prices by $300.
