    Strength:

Very light weight (G2228). Just as sturdy as tripods twice its weight. many more positions than any other tripod on the market today. Very solid and well built.

    Weakness:

You must use Gitzo's special ballhead ( I use the g1376m)to take full advantage of this tripod. Price.

I have had many tripods over the years, but none that actually helped me be more creative! No more trying to figure out how your going to make your tripod do this or that to get the shot. Simply put its an outstanding creative tool. I use this tripod (G2228) with my 35mm canon eos 1v camera with lens's from 15mm to 70-200mm zoom and it handles the weight very well, very solid, and stable. At first I was a little worried because its so light weight! but after using this tripod I now find it just as stable as my heavy 10 pound tripods. I must admit I now use this tripod almost all the time because if its light weight and ease of use. It's also much more comfortable to carry with a back pack than other tripods Ive used. Because its so easy & fast to set up, I now use this tripod all the time for my daily general photography use. Now when I arrive I don't question if Im really going to need a tripod or not, the question is how many more shots I am now able to be more creative with. Its fun to use, light weight, limitless possibilities. Sorry if this reveiw sounds like advertisement, its simply a "MUST HAVE" tool.
